Before the Now

Journey ~ the Now...

As I look back from the this platform of 9 decades, I see the wondrous humans, family, friends, clients, and Art World friends. The most missed thing that I need so much, is a simple hug...It has been proven that babies need the human touch for normal growth. Well, oldness doesn't mean that this need goes away. To lay your head on a shoulder, and lean into the warmth and comfort of one's loved one.

Time goes by, the most precious possession of our lives, the days empty of the hugs, become ever more a deep feeling of cosmic emptiness. When we were children, the big fat days were filled with the sun's glow of happiness, they were forever, these fat days of the young. I remember when awakening in the morning, the blueness of the sky with the huzzing bees on branches of peaches. Reaching up, I could feel the soft fuzziness of the fruit, the scent of ripeness, for my forever small hands gently picking my prize...hugs, from the Mother, softly, with sure hands making the sweetness of the peach a taste of the tree's gift part of my daily meal...

For Today, I look at the Symbol of life, and remember that this was born when he was in my life, My Lifemate, of hugs lasting in my body's memory, gently, warm and knowing that this exchange of hugs are glued onto my sliding sands of time...
